My Current thoughts #2

If your mind is consumed by self, you will never progress and build lasting relationships with others... I specialize in SELFLESSNESS "I am blessed to be a blessing." Webster defines selfless as having no concern for self.

Now, don't get me wrong; self love lives here, but I am not obsessed with ME because I'm covered by God daily... Giving my self away was the best thing that I have ever done in my life.~Gi-Gi

My Current Thoughts #1

My current thoughts...

I refuse to place my mind, heart and spiritual journey on pause... I'm a free spirit in love with growth and full of potential. I walk through storms daily and yet I barely get wet ...

MY WHY MOMENT

So I'm reading Tory Johnson's Spark & Hustle Launch and Grow Your Small Business Now.

In her book she asks, "What is your why?" & she suggests that you create a visual reminder & post it as your silent cheering squad.

Now this is not a new concept for me at all. I decided that I would share mine here on my blog.

My WHY is very simple.

MY 2 Reasons------->>>

My family is my motivation for all things.

Mommy Blues

I know it's been a minute since I posted a blog .... Can you say busy LOL ...

Not really just lazy and not sure if I wanted to post my thoughts.

Last week, the loneliness set in.

I've been mom for 15 years and have never gone this long without seeing my turtles(kids). My kids bring me joy & life; they're my best friends(insert smile here).

I broke down and told their dad that he could bring them home today. I didn't feel so bad about it because they have been wanting to come home since week 1, but I wouldn't let them. This comes as a relief to their dad because he didn't have a clue what to do with them since he's used to being the weekend dad.

Now don't get me wrong.  He's an awesome dad that's still learning ( I must give credit when credit is due and he loves his kids).  I will say that this whole experience has brought us a little closer and improved our communication with each other, and I thank GOD daily for that blessing.

I think I really broke down last night when mini me calls me at 12am and says "mom (whispering LOL) the wind is talking, and I'm scared" then she asked if I could hear it and of course I couldn't LOL.   We talked for about 30 minutes.

The moment our call ended, the wind started blowing and it started to rain.  That's when I knew I needed my babies home with me. I can't wait to see them (ALL SMILES)!

Natural Ways to Combat Dark Spots & Uneven Skin Tone

Vitamin C

Vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits such as oranges, limes & lemons. Vitamin C is a natural brightening agent. It lightens, brightens, & tightens the skin. Leaving your skin with a more even balanced tone and over all glow.

Lactic Acid

Lactic acid can be found in milk & milk powders. The most effective milks would be butter milk & goats milk, which can be found in your local grocery store. Milk powders can be found online or in some natural/organic stores. Lactic acid gently exfoliates dead skin cells which allows for new skin cells to generate. Leaving your skin more even & refreshed.

Enzymes

Enzymes can be found in fruits such as papaya, pineapple, & pumpkin. Enzymes are also found in plain yogurt. These enzymes gently exfoliate dead skin cells allowing for new cells to surface. When used in combination with steam it allows for deeper penetration. Leaving your skin more even & refreshed .
A Few Recipes to try :

Mix 1 tsp of milk powder, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and ½ tsp of almond oil. Apply on face and rinse the remaining residue after 10-15 minutes. This will lighten tanned skin and will make skin glow.

Mix lime/lemon juice with turmeric powder and apply it on the skin. Apply on face and rinse the remaining residue after 10-15 minutes.
Mix plain yogurt, papaya pulp (pureed) & lime juice. Apply on face and rinse the remaining residue after 10-15 minutes. *add steam its optional.
